Letter: Pakistan next?
by Peter BertolaNews Weekly, November 17, 2001
Sir,
It is significantly interesting to speculate about why so many Muslim countries are siding with America against Osama bin Laden's
al-Qaeda.
Pakistan would be most likely, indeed certain, to have been the next target after New York - a terrifying prospect, given that if Pakistan had fallen (or does fall) to the
al-Qaeda, bin Laden would be in possession both of nuclear arms and of the means of delivery. Then what? Sweet talk, perhaps?
As it is, it may still be too late in dealing with the deadly threat.
