National investment fund (letter)

by Tom King

News Weekly, March 19, 2011
Sir,

Patrick J. Byrne's article on the need for a national investment fund (News Weekly, March 5) provides significant information that has not been introduced into the public arena by the mainstream media, federal Government or even the Opposition.

His proposed scheme could help finance the dam-construction requirements, identified by Peter Millington in the same issue of News Weekly (see his article, "The urgent need to build new dams"), not to mention other necessary community and farming investments that we hear so much of since the latest range of natural disasters.

Tom King,
Bray Park, Qld
