by Tony O'Brien

News Weekly, December 15, 2001

Sir,

John Styles summation of the Democrat leader’s reaction to the events on election night (NW, December 1) left something unsaid.

Natasha is in the unfortunate historical position of guiding a nihilist party through a transitional phase in Australian politics.

Consequently, Natasha is a prophetess lacking prophecy, in fact a revolutionary without revolution.

Maybe, Natasha can re-invent herself as a Labor shadow frontbencher. A Green perhaps?

Tony O'Brien,
Melbourne, Vic

the thinker in the family.
