Valuable contributions (letter)

by Peter Kavanagh MP

News Weekly, February 21, 2009
Sir,

In my talk at the NCC national conference on February 7, I mentioned some of the people who helped to oppose Victoria's Abortion Law Reform Act 2008.

Upon reflection, I realised that I did not acknowledge the great help given to me (and to some other MPs) by Babette Francis and Charles Francis QC, both of whom did a lot of excellent work against the bill.

Babette and Charles Francis certainly deserve recognition for their very valuable contributions.

Peter Kavanagh,
Democratic Labor Party (DLP) MLC for Western Victoria,
Parliament House,
Melbourne, Vic.
