The Left and the Iraq War (letter)

by Peter Young

News Weekly, February 26, 2005
Sir,

I have read News Weekly for many years and found your articles to be both informative and entertaining.

Have you thought about an article on the Left and the Iraq War? The backing of the insurgents over the will of the people, even after the elections, is just ridiculous.

As mentioned on many web-logs, the Left were eager to send human shields to protect Saddam's Iraq; but not a peep was heard from them when voters were murdered as they stood up for their rights as Iraqi citizens.

The Left media and intelligentsia's promotion of the insurgents and their ignorance of the will of the Iraqi people are disgusting.

Inverloch, Vic
